Hmmm, I have mixed feelings on setting the parameters by saying something upfront. That's because I find guys who do that a little too jarring for my personality and there's a job interview, sterile quality to it. It signifies impatience to me and a lot of people it will be "too much" for. That said, I know plenty of girls who would probably LOVE to hear this upfront although I don't believe that it will really make things easier. I DO think it should be implied by the things you discuss etc. People will disagree with me and I suppose it can be done in quite a fun and elegant way. The harder but easier part is knowing your standards and just operating with them in every relationship. They are true to you and who you are. That's why people without firm standards are not as compelling but it conveys that you are not entirely comfortable or know who you are. You adjust to get what you want. It's kinda like you need to tell yourself (i don't feel afraid saying this to you because you sound like a good guy who will not take it too far): f*ck it, they can take me or leave me. Think about it? That's what she did with the burping and you're still trying to figure out how to go on the next date with her! Does this make sense?
